The History.

In-Tuition (Driver Training) is owned by Kevin Jewison. Born and educated in Scarborough and a child of the 70's I was brought up around cars. After leaving school I went to work in the motor trade and took driving lessons with a local driving school, only to fail my first test miserably. Realising that I needed much more practice I found a good instructor and with his help passed on my second attempt. A few years later I passed the advanced driving test and after that, friends would ask me to teach their wives, sons and daughters etc to drive, and as most of them passed their test first time, it was pointed out that I should "do this for a living". So I did, and qualified as an ADI in 1988!

Since then I have helped hundreds of people to pass their driving tests or just improve their standard of driving in both manual and automatic cars. As a Driving Standards Agency approved instructor I undergo regular tests of my teaching standards and have consistantly achieved the highest standard, grade 6. Unbelievably I have now been in business for 20 years and have recently had the honour of becoming chairman of the local driving instructors association.
